I am a Change Warrior, Curious Nomad & Amateur Goddess.
As a human-centered designer and social entrepreneur, I have had the privilege to launch the following programs – The Social Innovation Collective, Dogwarts School of Lickraft & Wagadry, The Parent Well & Dabbaz over the last three years. I am passionate about exploring new models of innovation while facilitating experiential learning for the next generation of change makers.
For the past few years I have been practicing and teaching Design Thinking for Social Innovation. I have been collaborating with innovation labs and social entrepreneurs all over the world. Apart from being a fellow of the 2016-2017 Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Fellowship, I also mentor and advise social entrepreneurs at the Youth Impact Hub in Oakland. The San Francisco Unified School District’s ‘iLab’ has me on their team as an Innovation Coach. I was also a former Tipping Point Community TLAB problem solver and DSIL Global fellow to Thailand and Cambodia. I am currently working with DSIL Global and IDIN to bring IDDS Sisaket 2017 to organic farming communities in Thailand.
I lived in eleven cities before the age of sixteen. My education was fragmented from nine different schools in India. I grew up fascinated by diversity, culture and storytelling and love how they combine to form powerful narratives.
My curiosity helped me explore many creative mediums professionally – film direction, video production, advertising and graphic design. In a ‘moment of obligation’ to my inner voice, after practicing communication design for four years. I started on an adventure to dissolve the divide between my profession and passion. While exploring new cultures across North America, South East Asia and Europe, I learned how to facilitate social change in communities of need by unearthing the creative genius within them.
I am now working to synthesize my insights from all my work into two projects, one that hopes to map impact globally and the other offers a new innovation model for changemakers all over the world.
When not working…
I can be found reading, writing, meditating, cooking, exploring nature or watching a MOOC about science or spirituality.
